Wedding Guidelines

We are delighted that you want to host your wedding at our site. The revenue received from wedding retreats supports the many programs we offer as a ministry to form faith, develop leaders, and build community. We are grateful you have chosen to support this effort by booking your wedding with us.

In addition to the policies outlined in our Rental Agreement, the following guidelines are in place for weddings.

  1. WEDDING COORDINATOR: Please designate a single person as the primary contact for NovusWay. The wedding coordinator will direct us regarding all needs and requests. If others come to us with requests, we will not honor them until the Wedding Coordinator approves. This will help ensure you and the wedding coordinator have the final word.

  2. DECORATIONS: NovusWay does not own decorations specifically for weddings, but we do have tables and basic chairs. You are welcome to use our tables and chairs at no additional charge or work with local vendors for items like tables, chairs, tablecloths, centerpieces, flowers, candles, lights, etc. Visit our list of vendors.

    • No glitter, rice, or confetti may be used indoors or out. Flower petals are allowed and must be swept up. Thank you for helping us protect the animals who call our beautiful natural spaces home.

    • It is prohibited to hang decorations using tape, wires, tacks, nails, and glue. All decorations must be placed and removed without damage.

  3. SET UP/TAKE DOWN: You are responsible for coordinating the setup and taking down all decorations and non-NovusWay equipment. Please consider the amount of time you or your vendors need to set up and take down decorations and equipment for your rehearsal, wedding, and reception. This time must be included in the days you request for your contract. For example. If the wedding is on a Saturday night, and your vendor needs to take down items on Sunday or Monday, that would be an additional day or two of rental for that building. NovusWay staff will not be available to set up and take down vendor items as the vendor does not insure them.

    • The placement of tables, tents, live music, catering equipment, etc., must be approved by NovusWay no later than two weeks before the event.

  4. CLEAN-UP: Our staff will provide the standard cleaning of all used spaces following the event; however, it is expected that you and/or the vendors will remove all trash and decorations prior to leaving the property.
